Dear Brides and Grooms of 2011,

I am so grateful to you all for entrusting me to photograph the most important day in your lives. Thank you for letting me share your joy and tears, the vows, laughs and funky dance floor action of your rockin’ receptions. Oh! And thanks for the cake too! You are the reason I do what I do. It’s an honor to have a hand in creating a photographic legacy to show your children and future generations the story of your love. Know that this is no small thing to me, this privilege you have given to me. I wish you continued joy in your lives together.

Alexandra and Kyle chose the last day of 2011 to start their first day of their new life together at St. Boniface Catholic Church. I’ve never photographed a New Year’s Eve wedding before, and I must say, I was entranced with the whole evening. There was romance, style, beauty and moving emotion. It was a pleasure spending the first few minutes of 2012 at Old National Bank Atrium with A&K and their families and friends who were definitely in a party mood! Many congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson!

Alexandra and Kyle ring in the New Year as Newlyweds!

What an incredible New Year’s Eve! Alexandra and Kyle’s wedding had everything one could ask for: emotion, style, romance and excitement! Here’s a sneak peek, more to come soon!

Many, many thanks to all my wonderful brides and grooms of 2011, it was a banner year for Equinox Photography. Looking forward to working with my 2012 couples! If you are newly engaged, Congratulations and give me a call!

Beth and Brian met me at Lincoln State Park in Lincoln City, IN for a fun afternoon of engagement photo-taking. We walked and talked and even played on the train tracks a little! These two have great upper body strength as you can see! Their wedding is next June and I’m looking forward to photographing them again.

Nick asked Amy to marry him one afternoon at Lincoln State Park (she said “yes” by the way), so it made perfect sense for them to have their engagement photos taken there. I was happy to oblige and we had a lovely day of hiking through the park and taking pictures! I’m very much looking forward to photographing their wedding next May.

I cannot fully express how much FUN I had photographing Christine and Zach’s wedding. These two love to laugh almost as much as they love each other! And their friends are crazy too–in all the best ways. The ceremony was at the beautiful Neu Chapel, on the campus of the University of Evansville. The stunning red color scheme in the chapel made a lovely backdrop for their vows. The Vanderburgh County Old Courthouse was the setting for a fun-filled reception with donuts instead of cake and a dance party hosted by DJ Randy Weber.

“Every time I see this photo I have to laugh a little because it’s an entirely natural shot. No posing smiles, only real laughter and love. Phil always has comments to make that can’t always be said aloud, so he shares with me by whispering. Thanks to this snapshot, years from now I will still remember what it was he whispered to me on our wedding day and how delighted I was hearing it.

“It really was difficult to pick my favorite picture. We had over 600 photos from our wedding day and they were all so good! Looking thru them almost 6 months later I chose this picture because it reminded me the most of how I felt that day, so in love!!!”
